Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy (19 January 1986) was an English model of catwalk and lingerie, and television model and TV. In 2006, she finished second in the British Next Top Model cycle 2. She also won series 11 and 12 on Strictly Come Dancing 2013. Since 2015, she has been hosting Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool. She is the second-oldest child of four siblings, Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was raised in Woolton which is an area in Liverpool and was a student at St Mary's Primary School and St Julie's Catholic High School. Clancy formed the girl group Genie Queen with Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was named as one thirteen finalist on Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model in summer 2006. Clancy was a contestant for a modeling contract for a period of 10 weeks. Clancy made it to the runway show along with another contestant Lianna Fowler. She eventually became the runner up. Clancy was the first model to appear on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike and was featured on the cover of Arena magazine in May 2007. Clancy was selected to be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was selected for her sporting connection with Peter Crouch. Clancy was photographed wearing body paint for the magazine, to appear as if she was wearing an England shirt. Yu Tsai shot the photographs. Clancy was wearing an England shirt in Umbro's 2010 campaign, as well as other girlfriends and wives of players from winning nations. Clancy was a model for the Giles Deacon Ready-To Wear Giles Spring 2011 collection. In July 2013, Clancy appeared as part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign. She was included in a fashion editorial from Absynth Photographic as in a fashion documentary created by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured in the August 2011 UK Esquire cover, photographed by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was also featured in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar along with Suki waterhouse and Cara delevingne. Clancy was featured on the cover of British Marie Claire, July 2014, and British Elle, March 2015. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch, their daughter, collaborated for the Launch of Lipsy's AW'19 collection. The collection was officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
