Susan Sarandon Bio
It was the 1968 Democratic Convention, and there was a casting demand for a film with a variety of roles for young actors who interrupted it. Joe (1970), was sought out by Joe (1970) and Joe (1970), two recent Catholic University students. Chris Sarandon was not selected, even though he had prior studies in acting. His wife Susan was offered the role as Susan Compton. She plays the daughter of Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill kills Susan’s drug dealer boyfriend. Then, Joe (Peter Boyle) is a bigot who works in an assembly line and collects guns, becomes friends with Susan. Five years later, Sarandon makes the film. Janet is a transvestite who falls in love with Dr. Frank n Furter (1975). After more than 15 years Sarandon finally actively campaigned for Annie in Bull Durham (1988), transporting herself between Rome to Los Angeles at her expense. "It was a fantastic script... It was able to do remove a number of legends, and challenged American definitions of success" she stated. "When I arrived at the studio I spent a bit of time with Kevin Costner, kissed some women at the studio and returned to the plane". Tim Robbins (1988), her Bull Durham supporting actor, already had two sons by the year 1992 which made Sarandon into a position where she could leave her home and accept challenging roles. This was the result of four Academy Award nominations in 1990s and for best actress in Dead Man Walking (1995). Her first Academy Award nomination was for Louis Malle's Atlantic City (1980).
